Domestic Violence for victims

Domestic violence is a serious issue that affects individuals in intimate relationships across all walks of life. This form of abuse involves a pattern of harmful behaviours used by one partner to gain power and control over the other. Domestic violence can manifest in various forms, including physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, or economic abuse. Regardless of age, gender, race, religion, or socioeconomic status, anyone can become a victim of domestic violence. It is important to recognise the signs of abuse and seek help if you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence.

If you or anyone you know has experienced domestic abuse, please contact our Domestic Abuse Support worker here.

Menopause Awareness Training

We aim to empower people with knowledge and information to dispel the silence and misconceptions surrounding the transformative journey of menopause. Our training sessions cover critical topics such as perimenopause, menopause, and emotional resilience, equipping individuals to navigate this transition effectively. At Women Wellbeing, we are dedicated to creating a workplace environment that embraces inclusivity and empowers every individual. In addition to our community-focused menopause awareness initiatives, we extend our commitment by offering comprehensive training to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across Birmingham. Read More

World of Women Wellbeing- Bump & Beyond

Bump and Beyond

The “Bump and Beyond” program was designed to improve pregnancy outcomes and promote child health in underserved communities of Birmingham. This 8-12 week initiative was shaped by cultural and religious considerations and aimed to address needs that were previously unmet in mainstream healthcare. The program primarily focused on mothers, particularly those from ethnic minorities. It covered the period from preconception through the early years, aiming to minimise pregnancy-related complications and provide optimal care for new-borns. The program included customised group classes, workshops, and personalised interventions covering nutrition, exercise, and relaxation.

Our efforts involved collaborating with GP services, a health coach, and a nutritionist to guide families on nutrition, prevention, and Type 2 diabetes management. Our primary aim was to enhance their weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, mood, and health awareness. We delivered our services in community languages and had a multilingual team to cater to the diverse needs of our clients. Read More
