Wellbeing Hub with Ashiana Community Project (ACP) Group

The Women Wellbeing Hub is a safe haven for women, offering a wide range of activities that aim to promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. We have partnered with ACP Group to deliver a program that is based on the NHS Five Ways to Wellbeing framework. From cycling and paddle-boarding to walking groups and arts and crafts, we offer a variety of activities that cater to different interests and preferences. Join us and discover a community that values your wellbeing.

Parent Programme with local schools

Our satellite program is designed to educate parents in Birmingham on various aspects of health and wellbeing. We believe that by providing this valuable information, parents will be better equipped to make informed decisions about their health and that of their families. Some of the topics covered in this program include:

  • Nutritional Support to promote healthy living
  • Parenting programmes
  • Domestic Violence awareness
  • Mental and financial resilience
Women's Wellbeing - Self Defense

Self Defence

We’re delivering self-defence sessions for women and girls to help them feel safe, confident, and empowered in their daily lives. With research showing that one in two women feel unsafe walking alone at night, these sessions offer practical skills, raise awareness, and build the confidence needed to navigate public and private spaces securely.
Young girls especially benefit by learning early that they have the right to set boundaries, take up space, and stand up for themselves. Through these sessions, we’re not just teaching self-defence — we’re supporting a future where women and girls walk with strength and assurance.

Paddle Boarding

We aim to make water sports more diverse and accessible, especially for women facing disadvantage. These free sessions remove financial barriers and welcome women of all backgrounds, offering a supportive space where participation in culturally appropriate attire is encouraged.
By challenging gender stereotypes and disrupting the perception of water sports as male-dominated and exclusive, we’re empowering women to make waves—both on and off the water. Through our Paddleboarding Leadership courses, we’re building a new generation of women leaders, creating safe, inclusive spaces where women can thrive and push boundaries.

World of Women Wellbeing- Bump & Beyond

Bump and Beyond

The “Bump and Beyond” program was designed to improve pregnancy outcomes and promote child health in underserved communities of Birmingham. This 8-12 week initiative was shaped by cultural and religious considerations and aimed to address needs that were previously unmet in mainstream healthcare. The program primarily focused on mothers, particularly those from ethnic minorities. It covered the period from preconception through the early years, aiming to minimise pregnancy-related complications and provide optimal care for new-borns. The program included customised group classes, workshops, and personalised interventions covering nutrition, exercise, and relaxation.

Our efforts involved collaborating with GP services, a health coach, and a nutritionist to guide families on nutrition, prevention, and Type 2 diabetes management. Our primary aim was to enhance their weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, mood, and health awareness. We delivered our services in community languages and had a multilingual team to cater to the diverse needs of our clients. Read More
